The Maryland Terrapins are on the road for their first Big-10 game of the season. The 3-0 Terps have no easy task today facing one of the nation’s best teams in the No. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. Not only is Michigan the top scoring team in the Big-10 at 55.3 points per game but they are also second in rushing at 231.3 yards per game. Maryland ranks fifth in the conference in scoring at 40.3 points per game and fourth in passing at 310 yards per game.
This annual matchup between Maryland and Michigan has been very one-sided since the Terps joined the Big-10 and have been mostly decimated by the Wolverines.
The chance to win for Maryland seems to be with QB Taulia Tagovailoa showing up big in this one. The NFL hopeful has the ability, and if he can do what his older brother Tua did last Sunday to lead the Dolphins past the Ravens, you can see that upsets do happen.
The formula for the Terps are less penalties and more sustained drives. Keep the pressure on the opposing quarterback and force mistakes. Maryland also has to take advantage of the opportunities and limit the 3-and-outs.
Maryland and Michigan are scheduled to kick off in Ann Arbor on Saturday at noon on FOX. Starting things off on Saturday with theĀ FOX Big Noon Kickoff.
The Vegas odds are Maryland +17, and the Over/Under is 64.
