The Maryland Terrapins were not expected to be beat Ohio State or Penn State or even Michigan this season — but the Terps are supposed to beat all of the other teams. The Terps are already bowl-eligible with a 6-5 record going into this game against Rutgers. This game is the final one of the regular season in the 12-game schedule. Depending on what Maryland does today could determine a bowl game for them. A 7-5 record looks much better than going 6-6, agree? Both Maryland and Rutgers enter this game with identical records.
Here is the AP Top-25 NCAA rankings. You will see Georgia at No. 1, Ohio State at No. 2 and Michigan right after them — giving the B1G-10 some bragging rights — and Penn State is not to far behind them at No. 11. Here’s the thing — Ohio State and Michigan face each other at a noon kickoff ET.
QB Taulia Tagovailoa and the Terps defense are the keys in this game. The defense did their job against Michigan last week with a chance to win it with less than a touchdown difference in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately Tagovailoa did no get it done with multiple turnovers.
“A few things stand-out. There’s no magic button to push.”
