The No. 1 Maryland Terrapins capitalized against the No. 5 Princeton Tigers 13-8 leading the Terps to victory in the NCAA semifinal game in Hartford, Connecticut.
Storms in the area created a 4-hour weather delay due to rain did not stop the number one team in the nation from getting the job done.
The Eagles set the tone early scoring in the first seven minutes. Sophomore Libby May answers quickly, to tie the game at one. Both teams traded another goal in the first quarter with another goal by May advancing the score to 2-2 at the end of the first.
Midway through the second, the Eagles took the lead scoring back-to-back goals, but the Terps clapped back adding 4 points to the board taking the 7-6 lead going into the half.
Sophomore Eloise Clevenger scored a backhand scoop to finish the four-goal run that put the Terps on top at the end of the second.
Graduate student Aurora Cordingley scored her-team best 67th goal of the season early into the second half for the Terps.

Both teams exchanged eight goals in the third with a score of 11-10 for Maryland at the end of the quarter.
Early in the fourth, junior Hannah Leubecker and Clevenger advanced the lead to 13-10.
The Terps took the 16-13 lead with seven minutes left. But the Eagles weren’t finished, putting up three consecutive goals with just over three minutes left tying the game 16-16.
With 18 seconds remaining, Cassidy Weeks scored the game-winner for Boston College advancing the Eagles to the National Championship.
The Terps’ season concludes at 19-2, earning both the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
With no MLB baseball games in Spring Training coming for another week, D.C. area baseball fans will be treated to some exciting weekend baseball with a game at 4pm today and again on Sunday between the nationally ranked Maryland Terrapins and the Georgetown Hoyas. More on that below.

Mike Locksley has finally made it to a bowl game. His long quest that saw the team come ever so close to a bowl appearance is finally over. The Maryland Terrapins are headed to the Big Apple to participate in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Terps face another former ACC foe in the Hokies; all of this while making their first bowl game since 2016 where they also played an ACC team, Boston College, in the Quick Lane Bowl. For the Terps, this bowl game which is pitting two 6-6 teams against one another might come off as a letdown, but nonetheless, it is a huge step for their program.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — Official news broke Friday afternoon that long-time head coach of the Maryland Terrapins men’s basketball, Mark Turgeon, and the team had mutually agreed to part ways.
The Maryland Terrapins, coming off an excursion to the Bahamas that saw them take second place in the Baha Mar Invitational, face their biggest test of the season to this point. This comes on Len Bias Night as XFINITY Center is gold and red tonight with most fans adorned in Bias throwback jerseys.

You win six games and your are bowl eligible so a lot is on the line today in this showdown between the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the Maryland Terrapins (5-6, 2-6) in this regular-season finale.
One team will walk off the field in pain and the other team in celebration of a victory. This will feel like a Wild Card game. A lot is at stake and most importantly — pride.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — The No. 3 Maryland Terps took-down the 6th ranked team from Baylor by a final score of 79-76 on Sunday afternoon at XFINITY Center. Maryland has three Top-10 games this week which will feel like the NCAA tourney with the Baylor game, NC State on Thanksgiving then the reigning NCAA champs of Stanford on Saturday.
This would be a great day for a Maryland Terps win. At home in College Park, Maryland and facing a tough Michigan opponent would right this ship for the Terps. They danced with Penn State and Michigan State in consecutive weeks until they collapsed near the end. Today, the Terrapins have to push a W over the finish line.
