The Maryland Terrapins are back on the road and have a B1G game in Wisconsin. The Terps have QB Taulia Tagovailoa back as the starter after he suffered an MCL sprain against Indiana three weeks ago. Still, the 6-2 Terps are 5 point underdogs against the 4-4 Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers made a mid-season coaching change from Paul Chryst who was fired and interim head coach Jim Leonhard took over, and since then, are 2-1 under their new coach.
Red shirt freshman Billy Edwards Jr. will go back to being Tagovailoa’s backup. Edwards was a transfer from Wake Forest and grew up nearby in Fairfax, Virginia.
The Maryland Terrapins are back at home in College Park for their annual Homecoming game, and could become bowl-eligible with a win today. This mid-afternoon game has the perfect fall weather for early tailgating and meeting up with old and new friends clad in Terps’ red on this sunny day! The 5-2 Terps have Northwestern in for this one. The big question this morning is on the health of QB Taulia Tagovailoa as he suffered an MCL sprain last week in Indiana.
The injury to Tagovailoa looked like it was season-ending as he was writhing in pain from a leg injury, and had to be removed on a cart. The MRI just showed an MCL sprain and the Terps’ QB1 was back at practice this week. That knee brace saved his knee, and it is great news for Tagovailoa and the Terps’ football program. Will he start or play today? That is the question of the morning as he is listed as “questionable”.
If he can’t go, it will be red shirt freshman Billy Edwards Jr. who has seen action in two games so far, and staged the comeback win last week against Indiana. Edwards was a transfer from Wake Forest and grew up nearby in Fairfax, Virginia. He’s led five touchdown drives this season with some very athletic runs.
The Maryland Terrapins are back on the road and in Bloomington, Indiana. A college town home to the Indiana Hoosiers. Last week the Terps lost by 2-points against Purdue and a 4-2 record on the season. It was the Terps opportunity to jump into the NCAA Top-25 and the elite of football. Mistakes made and opportunities lost.
Maryland is just looking for national respectability at this point. A move into the Top-25 would have been big for this program and recruiting more top players to this program. That is how you grow as a team and Head Coach Mike Locksley has done a great job at bringing in those players. But more wins and national exposure helps.
The Maryland Terrapins are at home again at SECU Field in College Park, Maryland and feeling like they can get into the NCAA Top-25 with a win today against the Purdue Boilermakers. After a decisive win against Michigan State last week, Maryland moved up the power rankings and a No. 4 ranking in the powerful Big-10 behind Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. Unfortunately when the Big-10 is strong, they have to face each other to where there is usually only one standing in the Top-10 of college football in the end.

The Maryland Terrapins return to the newly named SECU Field in College Park, Maryland feeling good about themselves after just falling short against the No. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. The Terps lost by a touchdown but actually had a lead in the game, and if not for a blown call on an interception where replay was not used, who knows. So today, the other big team from the state of Michigan, the Michigan State Spartans come to College Park to face the young and hungry 3-1 Terps of Maryland.
The Maryland Terrapins are on the road for their first Big-10 game of the season. The 3-0 Terps have no easy task today facing one of the nation’s best teams in the No. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. Not only is Michigan the top scoring team in the Big-10 at 55.3 points per game but they are also second in rushing at 231.3 yards per game. Maryland ranks fifth in the conference in scoring at 40.3 points per game and fourth in passing at 310 yards per game.
The Maryland Terrapins are back home for a big game against SMU. With a 2-0 record entering the game, these non-conference games are the warm-up to the tougher schedule. SMU will be the Terps toughest opponent so far in the season.
With an Opening Day win for the Maryland Terrapins, they could see themselves for the good and bad from this past Saturday and see where they must improve. With no true warm-up games, the early non-conference schedule proves vital to get this team ready for the tough Big Ten schedule ahead. Today’s non-conference game takes the young Terps on the road to Charlotte, North Carolina to face the Charlotte 49ers.
The long awaited 2022 season begins for the Maryland Terrapins. After several star players departed through the draft, graduation and the transfer portal, it’s time to see what this roster can do.
